Oconee County Sheriff’s Office to teach Refuse To Be A Victim(R)

The Athens Banner-Herald reported earlier this week that the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will shortly begin offering Refuse To Be A Victim(R) seminars to residents of the county directly, and through community groups who wish to organize seminars.  No Victims’ founder recently had the opportunity to meet Chief Deputy Weems and Corporal Lowe, who recently completed the requirements to become certified to lead the seminars.  Oconee County is lucky to have two such experts willing to dedicate their time and effort to this worthy cause.

For those who do not live in Oconee County or have equally concerned and committed Police Departments or Sheriff’s Offices, please consider reaching out to your local law enforcement agency and asking them to follow the example set by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.

For those in and around Atlanta who wish to organize a seminar for their community, house of worship or neighborhood association, please visit the Crime Prevention tab at the top of this page to find out how to do so for no cost other than the required student materials.
